Users will only be permitted to list 50 free listings per month. It was also at this time the development team disclosed to me their new pricing model for version 8. I was then asked by the development team to join the beta testing for version 8. This would save having to constantly dismiss the unwanted attributes with each new listing. It was obvious to me that GS7 knew the difference between those attributes which were required and those which were not required so why not add a preference to GS7 to not to show the non required attributes. Having to constantly dismiss these unwanted attributes was going to be wasting many hours of my time so I brought this to the attention of the GS development team. In most cases only one or two are required by eBay so you can dismiss the reset by clicking a small minus symbol (-) by each one and leaving the remaining attributes at their default values. When you do this you are presented with a long list of eBay's suggested attributes. To fix this you must click the "Attributes" field under the listing's Options tab. If you list an item within one of these categories and verify your listing you will receive an error message that your item is missing attributes. Many categories on eBay now require a minimum number of attributes. I found a major flaw with the program within a few minutes of using it. I upgraded to version 7 at a cost of $19.95. I decided to try the site once again only to discover that version 6 of GS no longer listed items. I stop listing items on eBay for just over a year due to disputes with eBay over its illegal billings practices. I guess this is something that could be fixed but they haven't done so in the four years I've been using it.Ĭould anything have beeI was a long term users of GS and seller on eBay since 1999. However, it is functionally useless because of design flaws. Lastly, Garagesale claims to generate reports. If you are used to working with MS Word prepare to be irritated. The word processor used in creating the listings is difficult to work with and it's not intuitive. ![]() That's not a problem if you have under a hundred listings but when you have hundreds or thousands you don't notice them missing and then when it runs out on eBay it just disappears and you have an item that is no longer for sale but you don't know it. ![]() ![]() They will still be on ebay but they are no longer on Garagesale. Also, GarageSale has a bad problem with losing listings. Doesn't sound like a lot of time but it gets annoying. The application is sluggish and you will spend about every 3 minutes waiting 15 to 20 seconds for it to "think" (I guess saving your work) while watching a spinning wheel.
